Do-Ho Suh

There’s an amazing installation at the Indianapolis Museum of Art by a wonderful Korean artist, Do-Ho Suh.  He is greatly known for his contemporary installations and sculptures seeking affinity between individuality, collectivity, and anonymity.  Absolutely beautiful.

A closer look at the 'Floor'.

In 2003, Suh created an exact replica of his NY apartment titled The Perfect Home II which is made completely of nylon.

"Suh’s Reflection is as close to gone as any bridge-sized span can be. It is a holy ghost in a gossamer gown. Detailed to its silky bricks, it replicates the gate to his bedroom in his childhood home in South Korea. Then it replicates itself, upside down. A reflection, likewise, is a memory."-Geoffrey Cruickshank-Hagenbuckle
